We are holding our popular customer and partner Railway User Group a little earlier, in April next year.
If you’ve been before, you will be familiar with the format and what to expect. If it is new for you, then here are some useful details.
Each year, our User Group brings together key railway players and the VIAVI Railway user community, to talk about the future of railway telecommunication and the shared challenges and opportunities that we face.
The formal and informal sessions over the two days provide a welcome chance to:
- Discuss ideas and share experiences with other solution users
- Discover the latest product features and software developments
- Get an early preview of our roadmap
- Watch practical demos and present use cases
With a range of keynote sessions, new regulations for cybersecurity, and practical workshops on a variety of topics, as well as plenty of good company from your industry associates, this year’s agenda has something for everyone.
Our User Group is open to solution and product users, partners, integrators, and anyone interested in discovering more about how we can support for Mission Critical entities, such as railway operators.
Agenda Summary
In line with the usual format, our proposed event agenda will be as follows:
• Wednesday, April 3rd: Casual welcome reception/dinner from 19:00 – 21.00
• Thursday, April 4th: Full day conference at the Hotel NH Málaga, starting at 09:00 to 17:30. The customer gala dinner will take place from 19:00 at a local restaurant.
• Friday, April 5th: A full morning of presentations and interactive workshops until 12:00 noon, followed by lunch, all at the Hotel NH Málaga.

Frequently asked questions
The event itself is free of charge. You are responsible for your own accomodation and associated travel costs.
There are several options for hotels nearby, with room rates ranging from 80€ to 200+€ per night. We advise selecting the NH Malaga Hotel, or any other hotels in the area to be at walking distance of the main event venue location.
